Unfortunately, there are a lot of syndicates operating in South Africa, and some of them employ women to carry out their illicit enterprises. Some of these gangs specifically target guys in public spaces like bars and lounges where many of people congregate to relax and consume alcohol. These ladies will be on the lookout for males who appear wealthy or who are seen carrying high-end jewellery and watches. If a person is unaware of their circumstances, it is difficult to tell if a lady is a member of a syndicate. Many men have fallen prey to this, and some of them have even lost many of their possessions in their own houses after bringing these ladies home.
These women frequently spike people’s drinks or otherwise administer drugs to them. Another frequent occurrence in public places is the spiking of drunk people, and as a result, people have frequently been advised to exercise caution when drinking in public. A man suffered as a result of this. At Cofi in Midrand, he was the objective. His iPhone 14 was stolen by a Nigerian syndicate member woman.
But the man wouldn’t let go of it. Using his iPhone, he located the woman after tracking her down. She also received a vicious beating as a result of this.
