The public is warned to stop leaving their cars at car washes. It is said that car cashers keep the keys in an open bucket, far from their sight and don’t keep track who are the owners, you’ll get asked if that’s your car and all it takes is saying yes then you pay R90, get keys then drive off. It’s a fair mistake on their side but it can cost you a lot more stress and money.
” This happened last week in Northriding, the owner went to get something to eat(he washes his Bakkie here regularly), the lady came and paid for the car and left with it. Someone pays for your car as if its theirs, they get handed the keys and just like that your car is gone.” He tweeted.
“I can see this happening when it’s busy, safety and security does not become their number 1 priority, quantity does.” Said @iam3eddie.
