Clement Maosa was born and raised in Polokwane, Limpopo in South Africa. He attended schools in a village called Ga-Ramutla. He grew up in Bochum, in a family of 6; consisting his parents, his two sisters, and his brother.
At a young age, Clement had dreams of becoming a soldier. However, his interests changed when he got to high school. That was when he decided he would become an actor. At the request of his parents, Clement enrolled in the University of Limpopo study. Unfortunately, his parents died in 2007 while he was still studying.
He has stated that he attempted suicide twice while mourning their deaths. He also revealed that their deaths forced him to become the breadwinner of the family alongside his mother. The role forced him to make a lot of sacrifices.
