Fundiswa Zwane biography

Fundi (born Fundiswa Zwane; 6 June 1985 in KwaZulu-Natal) is a popular South African actress and businesswoman. Her acting career dates back to her days in school, she landed her debut television gig.

Her date of birth is on 6 June 1985 and the place of birth and where she was raised is in Port Shepstone in Kwazulu Natal. Fundiswa Zwane is 37 years old.


She was a member of the ‘Gumboot dance group’ during her days in high school. This became a source of inspiration to enroll in ‘Film school’ upon she completed high school.


She is a proud mother to a daughter and as a single mother Fundiswa never fails to appreciate her lovely daughter on social media.  :Being a Single Mom to you was never a plan but the journey it’s taken us on I would not trade for anything. Fundi landed her debut acting role on television during her years in film school. She got the role while she was in her third year in the institution. She attended auditions afterward and eventually got her debut acting gig.

Since then, she has been landing several projects and making a name for herself in the industry. She landed a recurring role in Generation which was a big break for her. Fundi played the role for three (3) years (2009-2012).

Fundi also got another acting role in Divers Down, an SABC1 TV drama series in 2011. The same year, she with Gugu Zuma, and Thuli Zuma became co-creators of ‘It’s For Life’, an Mzansi Magic sitcom. The sitcom premiered in July and ended in October 2011.

She landed a guest role in season two (2) of Traffic in 2015. The actress has left Imbewu, she is running a business of hers. In 2020, she started Company by Fundi Zwane, a fragrance line, which has two (2) different scents including Camagu Femme and Camagu Oud.

She launched a channel on YouTube, ‘Living Lit with Fundi Zwane’ in October 2019. Fundi aims at showcasing the locations within and around Durban, reviewing characters, and also highlighting exciting times she experienced as a mother.
