Emmanuel Nkosinathi Gweva Biography

Born on 06/06/1983, Emmanuel Nkosinathi Gweva is a South African actor best known for his role as Thina Sobalisi in The Two Of Us (2014), Vaya (2016) as well as his current supporting role as Mavusana on the long-standing SABC 1 soapie, Generations, The Legacy.

Qualifications

He went to FUBA School of Drama and Visual Arts and obtained his first year certificate in 2004.

Career

The Generations; Mavusana has played a leading role in many  films that include Thina Sobalisi (2014), Step Up Lets Lead (2013), Man Child (2012) and Following Jesus (2008). Besides featuring a supporting role on Generations, The Legacy, Gweva also featured in the tv soapie, Isithembiso S1 & 2 from  2017-2019, as well as Back Of The Moon (2016) and Vaya (2015) films.

The South African actor also showed a leading role on Castle Milk Stout (2009), Rainbow Chicken (2010), Simba (2012), Vodacom (2013), The Road (2015-2016), and The Gold Diggers (2016-2017 among other television dramas.

Between 2005-2007, he played a leading role in theatre on Welcome To The Womb, AD27325, and Slow Poison as well as a supporting role on Mambo To Jozi (2005) and Lashona I Langa (2004).

In terms of corporate work, Gweva was the assistant director on Walls (short film) in 2011 and What Goes Around (short film) in 2010. Between 2009-2010, he co-directed Botsang Lebitla (Theatre Production).
