Juices support and hydrate your body and cells with these special juice ingredients
Pears
Pear juice helps to reduce blood alcohol levels.
Coconut Water
Coconut water is a fast and easy way to improve your electrolyte balance after drinking. It helps where there has been vomiting or diarrhea and of course a hangover.
Oranges
Oranges are rich in vitamin C, which may prevent your body from losing glutathione. Glutathione is an antioxidant that helps rid your body of alcohol and decreases alcohol consumption.
Ginger
This is my favorite. It helps to calm down digestive distress and supports liver detoxification. Ginger reduces nausea and vomiting and it may also help to protect memory and support brain function on a longer-term basis but provide some benefits short-term.
Cucumber
Cucumbers contain enough sugar, vitamin B, and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, and avoiding both a hangover and headache.
Watermelon
Since headache associated with a hangover is usually due to dehydration and decreased blood flow to the brain, eating watermelon may help ( 6, 7). Watermelon is rich in L-citrulline, a nutrient that may increase blood flow ( 8 ). What’s more, its high water content can help you rehydrate.
Turmeric
Turmeric is quite literally a golden hangover cure. This powerful anti-inflammatory herb not only helps to reduce the mental and physical effects of a hangover but also protects the body from the toxic effects of alcohol by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress in the liver.
Carrots
The beta-carotene in carrots helps diminish the free radicals created by excessive drinking, while ginger eliminates nausea and serves as an anti-inflammatory. The apples add vitamin C as well as the sweetness you need to choke down root vegetables this early in the morning.
Pineapple
This tasty tart juice is a definite keeper in your fridge to help cure your hangovers. Inside this beverage, there are properties, like bromelain, that help reduce the high levels of inflammation caused by drinking. Pineapple juice will also help restore your blood sugar levels to regular functioning.
Tomato
Tomato juice may be another good beverage to drink with a hangover. Research shows that tomatoes contain compounds that protect against liver injury. Excessive alcohol consumption can lead to liver damage, so tomatoes could theoretically help reduce the effects of drinking alcohol.
