Skeem Saam’s Lerato Marabe opens up on being Molested.
Skeem Saam actress Lerato Marabe who acts as Pretty on the SABC1 educational soapie has opened up about various things including her onscreen character, life experiences and marriage.
During an interview om Metro FM Lerato opened up that her role of Pretty on Skeem Saam is very much similar to her real life.
She said most of the life experiences Pretty had to go through she has also gone through them, pointing out the sexual harassment issue in particular.
The actress said this opening up that she has also gone through an incident of sexual harassment as a person out side the screen.
“A lot of the times, we go through the same thing, especially with the sexual harassment story. We went through the very same thing,” she said.
In 2021 reports that Lerato got married spread across social media platforms after pictures of her in a traditional makoti attire trended.
Explaining the picture she said she was just putting on her grandmother’s blanket after performing a traditional ceremony at home since it had rained on that day.
She explained “We were performing a ceremony at home last year. So it rained on that day and the blanket I was wearing that day is my granny’s blanket. So I just took a picture and posted it and everyone was like “She got married.”
Right now on Skeem Saam she is in love with the man of her dreams, Lehasa.
She has lost her family and friends over love. She has stood by Lehasa through thick and thin and during the murder trial she was always by her side.
