The renowned actress was born on 15 April 1992 in Mpumalanga, South Africa After her birth, she was named Nqobile Nunu Khumalo. Two months after, she relocated with her family to Johannesburg. Her parents raised her in the new location and tried to provide for her basic needs.
Education
She attended the St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria. After her secondary school education, she joined the Midrand Graduate Institute. Nunu enrolled at the Midrand Graduate Institute and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.
Career
The actress gained prominence for playing the starring role of a community health worker – Riri. She played the role in season twelve of Soul City, an SABC1 youth drama series, appearing in 2014. She also played a recurring role as Nhlanhla in the SABC1 youth drama series Loxion Lyric.
Nunu appeared first on television when she played the role of Cindy (guest-starring) in season one of isiBaya. She made her first appearance in 2013. In the next year, another guest-starring role followed in the SABC1 drama series Task Force and Mfolozi Street.
She appeared in season 3 of Rockville, making it another guest-starring role for the renowned actress, in 2015. The popular show was produced by the celebrated Ferguson couple late Shona and Connie Ferguson. Nunu appeared as one of the twelve finalists on season one of She’s the One.
