Asavela Mngqithi is a South African actress who’s popularly known for her acting as Ntwenhle on Isibaya that airs on Mzansi Magic. From a young age it seems she always wanted to be an actress, and when she got the opportunity to study the arts her passion for acting grew even more.

The gorgeous actress was born on the 4th of June 1996 in Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal. She was raised up by her mother and grandmother in Lamontville, south of Durban, where she learned fluent Zulu and Xhosa. Asavela went to live in Johannesburg after passing the Isibaya auditions and had to start filming.

Not only is she an actress, but what didn’t know is that Asavela is also a musician. In 2018, she released a song called ‘Isgubhusama Zulu’ with Melusi Mbhele. The song is of a ‘Gqom’ genre that is loved by many.
